Project Manager – Adamama
UNSW, Sydney
Work Type: Part-time (3-4 days per week), Fixed Term Contract
Adamama is Shalom Collective’s urban Jewish farm and sustainability hub, bringing together Jewish learning, environmental education, food growing, and community engagement. Through hands-on programs and creative initiatives, Adamama builds meaningful connections to land, values, and peoplehood.
Responsibilities:
Program Design & Delivery
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging workshops, events, and sustainability programs
- Manage and facilitate community working bees and volunteering initiatives
- Lead young adult and community engagement projects
- Identify and implement new programming opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, partners, and stakeholders
Operations & Administration
- Support the Adamama Director with administration and communications
- Manage program logistics, bookings, schedules, and calendars
- Maintain CRM records and participant data
- Coordinate supplies, equipment, and site needs
- Collate invoices and expense records for finance processing
- Prepare reports, documents, and correspondence as required
- Support smooth day-to-day operations
Communications & Promotion
- Contribute to social media and marketing materials
- Support outreach and participant engagement
- Help document and communicate program impact
Skills & Attributes
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Creative, proactive, and solutions-focused
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to balance planning with hands-on delivery including facilitation
- Comfortable working outdoors and in community settings, especially with young adult cohort (20-40s)
- interest in sustainability, education, and Jewish life
- Gardening / growing experience is a good to have, but not required – there will be plenty of on the job training!
What’s on offer:
- Part-time role: 2 Sundays per month (on average, though some Sundays may role over to additional weekend work) and 3 days per week
- Some additional evening or weekend work may be required
- Combination of office-based, site-based, and community-facing work (this role does not support working from home arrangements on a regular basis)
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle required
- Must be able to work in Australia without conditions (no Working Holiday Visas)

- have the right to live and work in Australia.
- hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
