Project Manager – Adamama

Work Type: Part-time (3-4 days per week), Fixed Term Contract

Adamama is Shalom Collective’s urban Jewish farm and sustainability hub, bringing together Jewish learning, environmental education, food growing, and community engagement. Through hands-on programs and creative initiatives, Adamama builds meaningful connections to land, values, and peoplehood.

Responsibilities:

Program Design & Delivery

  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging workshops, events, and sustainability programs
  • Manage and facilitate community working bees and volunteering initiatives
  • Lead young adult and community engagement projects
  • Identify and implement new programming opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, partners, and stakeholders

Operations & Administration

  • Support the Adamama Director with administration and communications
  • Manage program logistics, bookings, schedules, and calendars
  • Maintain CRM records and participant data
  • Coordinate supplies, equipment, and site needs
  • Collate invoices and expense records for finance processing
  • Prepare reports, documents, and correspondence as required
  • Support smooth day-to-day operations

Communications & Promotion

  • Contribute to social media and marketing materials
  • Support outreach and participant engagement
  • Help document and communicate program impact

  • Ability to balance planning with hands-on delivery including facilitation
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in community settings, especially with young adult cohort (20-40s)
  • interest in sustainability, education, and Jewish life
  • Gardening / growing experience is a good to have, but not required – there will be plenty of on the job training!

What’s on offer:

  • Part-time role: 2 Sundays per month (on average, though some Sundays may role over to additional weekend work) and 3 days per week
  • Some additional evening or weekend work may be required
  • Combination of office-based, site-based, and community-facing work (this role does not support working from home arrangements on a regular basis)
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle required
  • Must be able to work in Australia without conditions (no Working Holiday Visas)
