ONE OF A KIND

Semi-staged Musical Theatre in One Act
Presented by Jewish Arts

Alexandria, 1957. A wealthy Egyptian Jewish family is forced to leave behind the world it built over generations and begin again in Sydney. Moving between Egypt and Australia, One of a Kind follows Victor Rossano, whose rage and dislocation shadow his family’s fragile new beginning in a new country.

Middle Eastern musical traditions and live orchestration shape this rarely told story of Jewish expulsion, migration and the difficult realities of starting over.
